We did our two week road trip up to Queensland.
We had everything against us with the kids father having two shattered arms in plaster and having two sick/disabled kids to care for but master almost 16 was an amazing help. He did all the trailer connecting and Heavy lifting. Didn’t complain at all.
We live in such a beautiful country surrounded by sugar cane plantations banana crops macadamia crops and beaches and cattle. It is truly a beautiful experience driving around this country.
It has inspired me to want to live more free and de clutter and stop wasting money on stupid non useful things. It has shown me that children adapt so easily as long as you prepare well from the start. I am well use to packing for trips to the hospital and long term living out of a bag and never pack to much but know to pack certain items to make life comfortable everywhere you stop. For example Ava’s air mattress, bulky yes but if she has a good restful non painful place to lay and sleep then life is great. It’s fantastic pressure care for her fragile body. It rolls up and get be set up anywhere we go as long as we have a power source.

We went whale watching and wow it was facinating. We saw a mother and baby humpback whale and they even touched the boat. It was a three hour cruise and we were treated like royalty. I will be writing to sea world cruises thanking them. And I tell anyone with disabled family members to pick this business as they were so helpful and kind and I couldn’t of asked for anything more.
We managed to meet up with family and they made the effort to drive a few hours to come see us. So much love this holiday. So very thankful for the chance to actually do it considering how bad Avas health can turn and how unpredictable it can be.
